Three seniors from Sheridan High School attended Inclusion Film Camp at Pulaski Technical College North Campus. There they worked on trust and communication among their groups and then began the task of creating a short film and a public service announcement.
Students were in class each day, first learning how to use their creativity and communication skills to produce a plot for a short film. They then had to pitch it to Joey Travolta, who had to give approval before they began to prepare for filming. At the same time, they sat in on interviews with Mr. Travolta, one at a time, getting comfortable in front of the camera and answering questions they never imagined they would have to answer.
These campers gained confidence and learned many new skills throughout the week that they will carry on as they further their education. The films produced this week will be featured at a Red Carpet event at Pulaski Technical College on Oct. 3.
