EEM - Students in Mrs. Threet's 6th grade reading class enjoyed a review game based on the classic game Jeopardy. Students put their knowledge to the test while working collaboratively with groups to compete against classmates to test all of their knowledge gained this year. Our students are ready to crush the ACT Aspire this week!

EEM - Last Thursday, Mrs. Vance's class had their culminating activity for their Table Manners unit in Daily Living. For several weeks they talked about proper table manners and how to set a table. On April 8th they set the table for their feast and then cooked their lunch. They had English Muffin pizzas, fruit and yogurt parfaits, lemonade and a cookie for dessert. All the students did a wonderful job setting the table, cooking and showing wonderful table manners while they ate!

EEM - 3rd quarter report cards and (for those who ordered) Spring Pictures were sent home with learners today (those of virtual learners and students not on campus will be mailed this week). Reminder: Friday, April 2 is an AMI Virtual Day (campus closed).

EEM - Students in Mr. Braden's science class (6th grade) analyzed and researched a vacated turtle shell. Based on the examination of rings and shell measurements, students hypothesized this turtle was between 11-37 years old. Students also classified the turtle as an Eastern River Cooter. After examining the smooth bottom of the shell, students are confident the turtle was female.

EEM - Before heading out for Spring Break, students in Mr. Braden's Tools for Learning class planted potatoes and onions. They will check on them weekly to monitor their growth. They plan to harvest their potatoes and onions by the end of the school year!
