Students have been learning about ecosystems and animals in classes. Today, Game and Fish came to East End Intermediate School to teach students about alligators. Students were able to see and touch a baby alligator. Thank you, Game and Fish, for coming and teaching us about this protected species.

We enjoyed seeing so many of our grandparents this morning at our Grandparent's Day Breakfast. Thank you to our Saline County officers who assisted with traffic and parking, Chartwells for preparing and serving a fantastic breakfast, and all of our staff that jumped in and assisted to ensure everything went smoothly. We enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces in our building.

The following students were elected to serve on the 2023-2024 student council at East End Intermediate. We are so proud of all the students who applied and can’t wait to see what these students do!

Mrs. Hardin's class enjoyed having Mrs. McConkie (Mrs. Hardin's former 6th-grade teacher) come speak to them about the art and history behind Labor Day. They learned about a painting called "Builders" by Jacob Lawrence, sang and danced to a song about railroad workers, and created their own masterpieces using Jacob Lawrence's trichromatic method. She sparked some amazing creativity!

Ms. Burris held a Pass the Clap competition with all homerooms during music class at EEI. Mrs. Whitehead's homeroom won with a 2.35 second time. Great teamwork!
