Exciting things are happing on the 3rd Grade Hallway at East End Intermediate! Mrs. Seaton has set up an incubator and will be hatching chicken eggs. Students are learning the process of hatching and will get to see it along the way. We should have chicks in about 21 Days!!
Last week was remarkably busy at East End Intermediate. We had an incredible turnout for Grandparent's Day breakfast, Book Fair, and Parent/Teacher Conferences. We appreciate your involvement at our campus!

Last Friday at East End Intermediate, Mrs. Whitehead's 4th grade students who leveled up on Lexia or won Blurt Board for the week, enjoyed lunch in her classroom with some Dude Perfect. Fantastic job students, we're proud of your hard work!
Students have been learning about ecosystems and animals in classes. Today, Game and Fish came to East End Intermediate School to teach students about alligators. Students were able to see and touch a baby alligator. Thank you, Game and Fish, for coming and teaching us about this protected species.
We enjoyed seeing so many of our grandparents this morning at our Grandparent's Day Breakfast. Thank you to our Saline County officers who assisted with traffic and parking, Chartwells for preparing and serving a fantastic breakfast, and all of our staff that jumped in and assisted to ensure everything went smoothly. We enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces in our building.

East End Intermediate wants to give a big thank you to Larry's Pizza and Stanley Sanitation! In August, Larry's Pizza provided our teachers and staff with pizza for lunch. Today, Stanley Sanitation provided our teachers and staff with donuts for breakfast.
We love our local businesses and appreciate their support of our faculty and school!
Mrs. Avant's 4th grade students, at East End Intermediate, examined glaciers (ice water balloons) to learn how salt affects the ice. Mrs. Avant's science classes are learning about weathering, erosion, and deposition.
The following students were elected to serve on the 2023-2024 student council at East End Intermediate. We are so proud of all the students who applied and can’t wait to see what these students do!
Mrs. Hardin's class enjoyed having Mrs. McConkie (Mrs. Hardin's former 6th-grade teacher) come speak to them about the art and history behind Labor Day. They learned about a painting called "Builders" by Jacob Lawrence, sang and danced to a song about railroad workers, and created their own masterpieces using Jacob Lawrence's trichromatic method. She sparked some amazing creativity!
Ms. Burris held a Pass the Clap competition with all homerooms during music class at EEI. Mrs. Whitehead's homeroom won with a 2.35 second time. Great teamwork!

Last week at East End Intermediate, Mrs. Hardin’s 3rd-grade class used the game 2 Truths and a Fib to review what they've learned about fiction and informational texts. Students worked in groups to give characteristics of each and had the class guess the “fib” for their type of text.
