The Sheridan High School JROTC now has a robotics team! These students say this addition to the JROTC program is providing them with a fun way to strengthen their technology skills while also giving them an opportunity to be part of a team.

SHS Juniors: Monday’s SHS Junior ACT Boot Camp has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb 25 during school hours. If you have registered for any of the previously scheduled boot camps, you will be receiving an email with more information. Please be sure to check your email before Thursday.
SHS Juniors: Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will now be offering the ACT boot camp on Monday, February 22 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. If you are a bus rider, you will need to find alternate transportation home.
School will dismiss at 1:30 for parent/teacher conferences, and you will have about 20 minutes to make your way to the cafeteria to be seated. Be sure you are in the cafeteria by 1:50 PM.
Please bring the following items with you:
--Pencil
--Paper
--Calculator that you plan to use on the ACT (If you do not have one, then it will be provided for you.)
--Snacks and drinks, if needed
*** There are only 75 boot camp spots available, so priority will be given to the students who signed up for the original boot camp. However, we hope to be able to allow others in as well. SHS Juniors: Due to inclement weather, ACT is allowing Arkansas schools to move the ACT exam (originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23) to Tuesday, March 9. All virtual juniors will need to report to campus with a Chromebook on Friday, Feb. 26 at 8:30 a.m. to complete ACT demographics and MyACT information. Our district is currently working to reschedule the ACT Boot Camp and will send out information as soon as we have confirmation.
Virtual Juniors need to come to SHS campus on Fri, Feb 19 to complete the demographics portion of the ACT test booklet in preparation for the state-required ACT. Please be here at 9 AM. It should take about 45 minutes. Bring a charged chromebook with you. If you have questions, please call the school office or email Emily Grimmett (emilygrimmett@sheridanschools.org).
Remember you also need to make plans to be on campus to take the test on Tues, Feb 23 from 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM.
ALL Juniors will need to bring their photo ID and number 2 pencils with them for this exam, too.

Seniors - Scholarship opportunities are arriving in the Counseling Center.
● First Electric Cooperative is now accepting applications for their 2021 scholarship program. Nine high school seniors will receive $2,000 each. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2021.
● Diamond Lakes Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications for their $1,000 scholarship program. Application Deadline is April 2, 2021.
● For Senior Girls planning to major in Education, the Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship applications are now available. Deadline to apply is March 8, 2021.
