College Board has named Sheridan High School to the 2024 AP School Honor Roll based on the performance of the 2024 SHS graduating class.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose advanced placement (AP) programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to the following three areas:

  1. increasing college-going culture as shown by the percentage of seniors who have taken at least one AP exam

  2. providing opportunities for students to earn college credit as shown by the percentage of seniors who have passed at least one AP exam, and

  3. maximizing college readiness as shown by the percentage of seniors who have taken at least five AP exams.

SHS earned Bronze status in the first two reporting categories and Platinum status – the highest level possible – in the third.

Sheridan High School currently offers 19 AP courses and has seen an annual increase in both the number of students taking AP classes as well as the number of students passing those college-level AP exams.
