The Sheridan Elementary School Library Media Center recently received a $1,000 Community Grant to purchase library bound books for inclusion in the library kindergarten collection.
The Library Media Center has received a Walmart Grant annually since 2005. Traditionally the money is used to purchase additional books and educational videos.
“Walmart Grants, along with district moneys budgeted to the library, have afforded the SES Library Media Center the ability to go above and beyond in keeping its collection and resources current," said SES Library Media Specialist Dottie Goode. “The students and staff use these materials on a daily basis.”
With Walmart’s generous support, the Library Media Center is able to buy many books and resources that benefit the entire school.
“The faculty and staff of Sheridan Elementary School would like to express a sincere thank you to our local Walmart and all its associates for their continued partnership,” said SES Principal Lindsey Bohler.
Keith Saveall, Walmart Assistant Manager, and fellow Walmart Associates recently presented a Walmart Community Grant to kindergarten students, Principal Lindsey Bohler and Library Media Specialist Dottie Goode for the Sheridan Elementary School Library Media Center. The Grant will be used to purchase books.
