Arkansas Game & Fish brought fish native to Arkansas to show our 3rd & 4th graders! The student's loved trying to guess how much each fish weighed and how many gallons of water were in the tank.
Our GBR Glow Dance was a hit! The students had so much fun dancing and moving in the black lights. They also enjoyed their 5th grade performance using the black lights and singing wonderfully!

Mrs. Goode and Ms. Pittenger's 6th grade pod exceeded their reading goal and read 761 independent books this school year! Their group grew by 4,760 Lexile Reading Level points from Fall to Spring!

This weekend Stormy VanBrunt, 6th Grade student at EEI, was recognized at the Arkansas Arts Center for this beautiful painting. She won Best of Class and AAE Teacher’s Choice Award along with $250 for the EEI Art Department. Her painting will be on display until June 30, 2019.

SSD Families: REMINDER Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Feb. 11 for Grades 7-12 and Feb. 18 for PreK-6th, from 2:00-7:30 PM. School will be dismissed at 1:30 PM on BOTH days for ALL campuses.
Students are experimenting with electricity by using a battery pack, LED lights, Play-Doh and modeling clay. Once they realized how the circuit worked with one light, they were able to explore further with using more lights.
