Reminder for SSD Families: Tomorrow, Feb. 26, will be a VIRTUAL DAY for all students. Campuses will be closed to onsite instruction. Students will access assignments on Canvas. This day was originally planned as a No School Day (Make-Up Day) but was converted to a Virtual Day before school started when the governor delayed the first day of school. On Monday, March 1, we will have EARLY DISMISSAL at 1:30 PM for all students. P/T Conferences will be held virtually for all campuses, from 2 - 8 PM.

AGATE (Arkansans for Gifted and Talented Education) is hosting free parent sessions on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 6:15 - 8:30 PM. SSD Families: Our school administrators and transportation staff have been driving routes and checking road conditions throughout our district this afternoon. Due to hazardous road conditions, especially on our side roads, classes are canceled for Monday, Feb. 22. This will be a Virtual Day for students and staff. Students will access their assignments on Canvas. Students will have at least three days to complete the assignments. P/T Conferences will be rescheduled for Monday, March 1.

Students will access their assignments through Canvas. We understand our students will want to play outside in the snow tomorrow; therefore, we will have no LIVE instruction, and our teachers will give students at least three days to complete their virtual work. SSD Families: Due to inclement weather in the forecast, all Sheridan School District campuses will be closed tomorrow, Feb. 11, 2021. Students will pivot to virtual learning and access their assignments through Canvas. If you have a power outage or don't have internet access, just contact your teacher through email or Canvas when you are able. Our teachers will allow time for your student to make up the work. Please stay safe!

SSD Families: There is a potential for inclement weather in the forecast for tomorrow. If in-person instruction is canceled due to weather conditions, we will notify you as soon as the decision is made. We will send you a text message, post it on our website and social media, and we’ll notify our local news stations. If onsite classes are canceled, we will pivot to virtual work on Canvas. As a precautionary measure, we will be sending home frozen weekend meals with students today instead of tomorrow. These free meals will go home with students who have already signed up to receive them each week. Please understand this does not mean we are canceling school tomorrow. We have not yet made that decision. We just want to be sure these students have food to eat over the weekend in the event we must cancel.
