The Sheridan School District again wishes to thank local law enforcement for their prompt investigation into the alarming incident regarding Sheridan High School Tuesday evening. To address concerns that have been expressed by some on social media and to clarify, there is no immediate threat/danger in Sheridan schools. It is safe for students and staff to be in our classrooms, and we will continue to work to provide a quality education in a secure learning environment.

It's time to clean out that closet! If you have a musical instrument from your child's time in band (or when you were in band), please consider donating it to the Sheridan band program. We always have students who can benefit from a loaner if theirs is being repaired, and we have many students who are interested in learning secondary instruments. Many instruments can be put into playing condition with minor service and can continue to give someone the joy of making music. If you have questions, please contact Gregg Scott at greggscott@sheridanschools.org or message at (501) 613-7862. He will be glad to provide you with an appraisal estimate for your donation records.

If you happen to notice a number of law enforcement officers at any of the district's campuses this week, please don't be alarmed. As part of our on-going security measures at the school, local law enforcement officers are conducting walk-throughs at all facilities to familiarize themselves in the event of an emergency situation. We appreciate all they do to help provide a safe and secure community and school.
