Forty-five Sheridan High School students earned their way to perform in the Region III All-Region Band Clinic and Concert to be held in Monticello, Jan. 22-23, 2016. Additionally, 32 of these students qualified to advance to All-State auditions to be held Feb. 6, 2016, at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia.
“We had more students qualify for All-State auditions than any other school in our region had in their All-Region bands,” said Band Director Ron McHone.
“I am so proud of these band students and their band directors—Ron McHone, Gregg Scott, Dennis Wolfe and Kelly Wolfe.” said Superintendent Jerrod Williams. “These talented students were selected for this prestigious honor through a competitive process of auditions that took place January 9.”
Concerts will begin at 2 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the Drew Central High School auditorium. The Junior High All-Region Jazz Band will play first, followed by the 2nd and 1st Senior High Concert Bands.
