Mission Statement
The Sheridan School Library Media Specialist will work with teachers and students to provide a variety of materials which will support the curriculum of the school, and foster lifetime habits of reading, learning, good citizenship, and productive use of leisure time.
About the Library
The Sheridan Freshman Academy Library is the newest library in the district. The library began in the fall of 2005 and is continuing to grow and add the newest resources available. There is a variety of materials available for research or reading for pleasure. Three computers are available to search for library materials, type papers, research on the internet, or complete projects.
The library is open from 7:45-3:30 daily. Classes may schedule a time for research or checking out books. Students are welcome to check out books or use the computers between classes, before or after school or any other time with a pass from their teacher.
Databases Available A Word of Caution- We will never set up a link on the web without visiting it first. As always, be careful on the web! Parents are the best judge of what is good for their children. Most sites have links to other sites, offer things to buy, and give access to chat rooms. Surf with caution!
